Mr. Kurt Mentzel

Kurt Mentzel, has been instrumental in helping organizations establish a system for performance management that enables them to reach benchmark performance. His passion for people, processes and service are key in his delivery of training and consulting for organizations who pursue or have received the coveted Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award and the Texas Award for Performance Excellence. His work includes deployment of the ISO 9000 series, Lean Enterprise, Six Sigma and studies with Dr. Edwards Deming, Philip Crosby and Dr. Joseph M. Juran.

Kurt is a principal of Mentzel & Associates, an Arlington, Texas-based consulting and training firm. Kurt's experience includes 15+ years of service with the Baldrige Criteria including service as a Senior Examiner and Member of the Board of Overseers for the Texas Award for Performance Excellence. He has served as Section Chairman for the American Society for Quality and is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and Quality Auditor.

Kurt's purpose in life is to be a "Servant Pa" to his family which includes his wife, three adult children and four grandchildren and to be a "Business Missionary." He and his wife are actively involved in mission work outside the US, primarily in Romania.
